With my team, we participated in a two quarter long competition based around designing a shoe that drew from a moment in the last 50 years of hip hop. Looking to New York in the early 2010s, we had to go with ASAP Mob. Inspired by their spontaneous, outrageous, and exciting personalities, the way they seamlessly integrated high fashion and essentials into their outfits. We wanted our shoe to embody those traits. 

We looked to modularity. we wanted our wearer to have the ability to dress the shoe up or dress it down. featuring a molded sock upper, our wearer would have the ability to wear the shoe with or without the outsole. If youre wanting a laid back easy wear, take the outsole off, rock the socks. If youre wanting to stand out, throw the outsoles back on and head down to Vfiles or Opening Ceremony if you want to be seen.
